Lost in Time

Written by Gandhi Anindito

In the 946 AD, there was a brave and honorable knight named Hendrik. He was fairly young for his title and social standing. He enlisted himself in military at the age of 18. He's almost 30 years old now. He had never failed his duty as a knight, and he's also well-known in the kingdom.

One day, there was a rumor in the kingdom that a sect of cults had appeared within the kingdom. They always said that cultists were magicians but so far it had not been prevented to be true. This particular sect had been proven to kidnap some of the villagers and used them as a sacrifice. Hendrik and some of his men were assigned to eliminate or capture this cult. Previous attempts to apprehend this sect was made but to no avail. Some of them end up missing or dead.

The night came. Hendrik and his men were searching in the outskirts of the kingdom. They stumbled upon a huge cave. Hendrik didn't recognize this cave. It wasn't here before. Hendrik thought he had found their lair and went in. After exploring deep into the cave, they heard a chant below the ground. They found a clearing and a way down below. But, unfortunately, Hendrik slipped and fell into a large purple rune below.

Hendrik opened his eyes. There were screams all over the place. There were so many people. Dressed in black, face painted. Black and white. Some people even had images on their body and round steel thing on their faces. Oh, Lord. Am I dead? Hendrik thought to himself. Far in front of him was a stage that seemed to be the center of attention. He heard a very unfamiliar sound. A sound of something beaten every time. A very sickening sound of some kind of something he didn't know. And what was this deep sound that shook his heart every second? The stage was always lit by what it seemed to be small suns of different colors. Occasionally, the stage would spray fires into the air. He's very confused. Am I in hell? He passed out.

"Hey, another dude passed out, " a med team spoke. "Not a rare sight in Metallica concert. Let's take him somewhere clear," another medic replied.
